Welcome!
I’m Juliette
Let me tell you a little bit about who I am.
My Shibari practice started in Melbourne (Australia), during one of the strictest pandemic lockdowns in the world.
Picking up a rope and allowing it to take me to new places of intimacy ignited a passion that keeps me hooked to this day.
Rope for me is an art and a mindfulness practice that allows me to step into a unique connection with another person.
Rope space cannot be replicated by any other means; the rope forms a bridge that allows energy to flow between us through intention, sensation and a unique type of intimacy I have yet to experience anywhere else.
My philosophy
Rope is for every body
This means that your body type, weight, level of flexibility, or (dis)ability do not automatically exclude you from being in rope. I strive to be as inclusive as possible, and modify the sessions to suit your capabilities as well as I can.
I prioritise the wellbeing of my clients and rope partners, ensuring a consensual and positive experience at all times.
My aim is to create a welcoming environment that honours the traditions and beauty of Shibari, while fostering exploration, connection and personal growth.
Training and experience
I am dedicated to the paths of mastery and life-long learning. To make sure my skill level remains up to scratch, I remain a student of teachers whose rope practice and philosophies inspire me.
My current instructors are Kasumi Hourai and Scott Haruteru (Yukimura-ryu). I also regularly train with Supaku (Kanna-ryu).
Japanese Kinbakushi I have previously trained with: Kinoko Hajime, Akechi Kanna & Akeshi Kagura, Yagami Ren.
Australian and international teachers I have previously trained with:
Tamandua (Germany), Miss Gen (Kazami-ryu), Tifereth (Canada), Harli Adalia, Ash Snare, Von Riga.
I have been performing since 2021, including at many dedicated Shibari events at the iconic Golden Monkey bar, private parties and larger events such as Oz Kink Fest, Demasque, Provocation, Virtue & Vice, Esoteric Festival, and others.
In 2023 I accepted a teaching position at Peer Rope Melbourne, and have been teaching and facilitating workshops in Australia and overseas ever since.

I’ve found the sessions to be both grounding and exhilarating; it’s been so much fun exploring the different feelings and sensations that being tied can evoke with such an attentive, safe and friendly rigger. I’d highly recommend Juliette to anyone looking to start or continue their Shibari journey – I know that I’ll be back!”

“I’ve been tying with Juliette for three years, and each session has been more beautiful than the last. Her clear communication and regular check-ins throughout every scene have made me feel safe and supported, even in the most challenging positions. She brings together exceptional technical skill, confidence, and a gentle, attentive connection in her rope work. Being tied by her has always made me feel beautiful. You’ll also find her at nearly every special workshop with visiting international riggers, always eager to expand her knowledge and refine her craft. Juliette is an outstanding teacher and rigger, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly special experience.”
